About Minted Generation

Built by parents, for parents, because nobody else was teaching kids how money actually works in a cashless world.

Why Minted Generation exists?

Money has changed. It's now digital, instant and invisible.

The way we teach it hasn't changed in decades.

That gap is widening every year — and it's the kids who pay for it. They grow up tapping, swiping and subscribing long before anyone explains what money actually is, where it comes from, or what it costs.

Minted Generation exists to close that gap

Our Story

Minted Generation started with a question every parent eventually asks:

How will our kids grow up in a cashless world without the right support?

We looked for help.

We couldn't find anything that felt right.

Most options we found:

  • were trying to sell a product or platform

  • were slick on the outside but shallow underneath

  • were built to maximise engagement, not capability

  • treated financial education as a side feature, not the point.

That didn't sit right with us. So, we built what we wished existed.

What started as a passion project became something more, a structured program, built on behavioural principles, designed for the way kids actually encounter money today.

What makes us different?

We're deliberately not trying to be everything to everyone. Minted Generation is:

  • Independent: we don't sell financial products and we're not owned by anyone who does

  • Behaviourally grounded: built on how children actually learn habits, not how adults wish they did

  • Digitally relevant: designed for the world your kids live in, not the one you grew up in

  • Parent-aligned: built around how families actually work, not how programs assume they should

Meet the founders

Col is a parent and the founder of Minted Generation. After years working in and around banking and financial services, he watched the world of money change fundamentally. Cash was disappearing. Spending had become instant, invisible and frictionless. The way children were being taught about money had barely changed at all.

The gap was hard to ignore. Watching his own child, her friends, and a wider generation of kids navigate a digital financial world without the right fundamentals, it was clear families weren't equipped for what comes next. Minted Generation was built to close that gap - giving parents practical tools, real conversations and modern money education to raise kids who are cashless, not clueless

Abby is the co-founder and digital educator behind Minted Generation. Designed to be the consistent face of the Program, she guides families through every lesson, every conversation and every step of the journey.

Built to make money education feel approachable, Abby brings structure, clarity and a steady voice to topics that most families find hard to talk about. She turns complex money concepts into simple, confident conversations, the same way every time, for every family.

While Col leads strategy and direction, Abby is who you'll see, hear and learn from across the Program.

What we’re building?

Our goal is straightforward: a generation of children who grow up financially capable in a digital world.

Not financial geniuses.

Not budgeting prodigies.

Just kids who understand money clearly, think before they spend, and arrive at adulthood without the costly habits most people spend years unlearning.

Raising kids who are cashless, not clueless.
